Terrain and difficulty
Mostly flat canal towpath and riverside meadow paths. Some sections can be muddy after rain. No significant hills. Very accessible.

Good year-round. Spring and summer bring wildflowers to the meadows. Autumn colour along the river.

Tavistock has a full range of cafés, pubs and shops within the town. Pannier market on most weekdays.
Safety & access
The canal towpath can be slippery in wet weather. Keep dogs under control near livestock in the meadows. Well-signed and easy to navigate.
