Rough Tor and Brown Willy form the best-known high ground on Bodmin Moor and give the area some of its strongest walking country. The granite rises cleanly, the views widen quickly and the landscape feels bigger than many people expect from Cornwall.
This is Bodmin Moor at its most open and exposed, but it still keeps its own quieter identity. There is grandeur here, though it is less theatrical than on Dartmoor.
