Cornwall Council Motorhome Parking Rules
Cornwall Council allows daytime motorhome parking in car parks where motorhomes are a permitted vehicle class. Some Cornwall Council car parks also allow overnight parking for self-contained motorhomes, while others have overnight motorhome parking bans between 11pm and 8am.
Overnight parking
Overnight parking between 11pm and 8am is allowed in selected Cornwall Council car parks for self-contained motorhomes with an on-board WC. A specific motorhome overnight ticket must be purchased for each night.
Tickets not valid for overnight
Standard pay and display tickets and electronic tickets or permits are not valid for overnight motorhome parking. This includes 24 hour tickets, weekly tickets, season tickets and rover tickets.
Where to park
Cornwall Council does not provide specific motorhome or caravan bays in these car parks. Motorhomes must use standard parking bays. If a vehicle covers two or more bays, the driver must pay for each bay used. Motorhomes must not use disabled bays unless displaying a Blue Badge, or reserved or permit bays.
Code of conduct
- Maximum of two consecutive nights only
- Motorhome must be self-contained with its own toilet

Map & data notes
This map shows council-authorised and operator-authorised overnight motorhome stopovers where 3moors has recorded source information. Always check local signage and official council pages before arrival, as tariffs, bay availability and overnight rules can change.
Pins are based on published car park locations. Some sites may have vehicle-length, weight, height-barrier or self-contained vehicle restrictions.
Road access — important for larger motorhomes
Many of the most popular Cornwall overnight locations are in coastal towns with challenging road access for larger vehicles. Always check our Roads & Touring access guides before arrival at coastal destinations.
